More info coming soon, make sure you check back.
Venue: Rock UK, Whithaugh Park, Newcastleton, TD9 0TY. The event will be signposted from the south end of the main road through Newcastleton.
Riders can arrive at the venue any time after 12pm on Friday 21st May. Please do not arrive before this. Rock UK is an adventure centre for schools and will have children in residence over the weekend. Please drive carefully, adhere to the speed restrictions and follow event signage to the arena and camp site.
Camping is available free of charge for all riders and helpers on Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. A majority of the camping should be trackside. Please be sensible when marking out your area - riders do not need more than 3 metres of track frontage.
N.B. Access to the campsite is via a steep, gravel hill after a sharp bend and is therefore unsuitable for longer vehicles, and possibly large camper vans and caravans unless being towed by a 4x4 vehicle. Alternative camping/parking away from the arena is available for these vehicles but we suggest you bring other pit/camping equipment to set up trackside. Please contact the organisers if you have any queries.
The start will take place in Douglas Square in the centre of Newcastleton village. Riders will be treated to traditional Scottish music as they are called up individually to sign on in front of the crowd. The race will be started by the locally elected Tub and will follow a group of the Copshaw Common Riding club through the village before starting the race properly.

To save time, I try to only change clothes if I need to; that includes shorts! Changing bib shorts when you are trashed gets mighty complicated!
