SIP Events: About Us

SIP Events was officially set up early in 2008 to further promote the skills and services of some of the countries leading cycle event consultants as a resource to event organisers. Don't be fooled by the relatively recent formation though, here at SIP we have been working on the biggest, most well known cycling events for over 10 years and have a combined experience of 30 years within cycling.

Consisting of Paul Davis and Sara Randle, between us we have consulted on many of the major British endurance events including Mountain Mayhem, Sleepless in the Saddle, Enduro 6, Twentyfour12, Dusk til Dawn and Wild Boar 24 and worked closely with race organisers such as Pro-Velo Support, InEvent and Thetford MTB Racing. In 2009 we'll be taking on key roles alongside Martyn Salt as part of the British Mountain Bike Series organisation team.

We regularly compete in a variety of mountain bike races around the country and participate in many other cycling events. As active cyclists we aim to provide a range of cycling events and challenges catering for the needs of the rider; to give them the best possible experience, facilities, value for money, enjoyment and a sense of personal achievement.

By creating family friendly events open to all ages and abilities and providing activities such as skills and maintenance courses we want to encourage increased participation throughout the sport of cycling. We want our events to be enjoyed by all the family with a wide range of activities for riders, non-riders and children to get involved in, creating really memorable events and weekends of fun.

We also want to increase the involvement of the local communities at all of our events to promote cycling at a grass roots level and work closely with existing government, council, governing body, school and cycling organisation schemes; increasing people's awareness of cycling opportunities within their own area and maintaining their enthusiasm for cycling long after the event has finished.

Hopefully we'll see you at one of the many cycling events we're involved in over the coming months.
